Manufacturing process

Accentis Enterprise provides a fully-featured manufacturing module that allows you to define, process, schedule and analyse the manufacturing requirements of your business. It enables you to specify the following:

  • The items and their Bill of materials that you want to manufacture
  • The resources available in your factory
  • The steps involved in manufacturing each item and the resource required at each step
  • The time and costs associated with the manufacture of each item

When items begin manufacture in Accentis Enterprise, the raw materials and their value are automatically removed from stock and placed in the General ledger's Work In Progress account. When the items are finished, the quantity and value of finished items is added to stock ready for use.

Once the raw information is available to Accentis Enterprise, it can enable you to schedule or analyse your manufacturing operations as required. The following diagram represents the manufacturing module in Accentis Enterprise and how each of the functions inter-relates:
